Assess your learning in this class. In what areas did you see the greatest growth?
I definitely learned new techniques from this class. I'd say that I grew the most through the webquest and teacher web page assignments because I didn't know about all of the free websites that were available. They were very easy to use and I am glad to know how accessable they are for future use. I enjoyed seeing all the potential that Powerpoint and Microsoft Word have and enjoyed the idea of adding technology to a lesson that has already been made to enhance it.
How will your teaching practice change as a result of what you have learned?
Honestly, most of my teaching will still look similar. I've already been heavily encouraged by my district to implement technology as much as I can and I find myself trying to incorporate it as often as possible. I definitely think that, through these masters courses, I've realized the future of schooling for my students. They will be doing so much through the internet by the time that they get to college, that I need to help prepare them for that. I will begin having them turn in some assignments through our shared file system and will be certain to use the free make-your-own-websites as a part of different assignments. I like the hightened awareness that I've gained through this class to see the future that my students are heading into.
